In a 25 gram (0.87 oz) ball there are about 185 meters (202 yd) so plan on:
275 g = 11 balls for men size M
200 g = 8 balls for women size M
125 g = 5 balls for children 10 yrs.

Hand wash with detergent for wool without softener, no iron.
