Fonty Ombelle knitting yarn est is a mohair yarn from a particular breed of goats from the Caucasus mountains, primarily raised today on the high plateaus of Afrique du Sud. Fonty selects the finest fibers, long and homogenous on herds of young animals.
It is composed of 75% mohair, 20% wool, et 5% nylon to make it vaporous, soft and fluffy, as well as elastic and knits with knitting needles 3.5 and 4 mm (US 4-5/UK 9-8) for a gauge of 24 stitches and 26 rows.
In a 50 gram (1.75 oz) ball there are about 145 meters (158 yd) so allow about 8 balls for a sweater for women size 40 (M).
Hand wash, preferably with a detergent bio without softener, dry flat.
